Oh, that brings back memories. I remember the great car shows, the wildfowl carving expositions and the US Indoor Tennis matches...I remember meeting Jimmy Connors there before he became famous...couldn't figure out why anyone would want his autograph! LOL! Had my high school commencement in that building. Then it burned down in the late 70's when I was in college. Story was that cleaning people were smoking around some CCL4 cleaning solution and that's what started it. Those wonderful old arched glulam wood beams went up like kindling. My mother told me the fire burned so hot that the Fire Department couldn't get near it at first...I don't know how true that statement is but that's how she remembered it. Thanks for posting.
